Years of war in Syria have resulted in over 300,000 deaths and 13 million people displaced. More than half of the Syrian population no longer live in their own homes but in makeshift housing with several families often sharing a small home in order to survive. The winter months are especially difficult.
Operation Mobilisation (OM) Near East aims to provide 3,000 needy people in the Near East with food packages with enough basic food items to help a family survive for a month and during winter, small stoves and blankets. This project also provides education and assistance to Syrian refugees in the Near East and currently includes a small school for about 50 refugee children as well as sport activities.
