Two hours South of Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh, lies the poverty-stricken province of Kampong Speu. Here, a partner organisation of Ordinary Heroes, OM MTI, runs a kindergarten for children. It provides valuable early childhood education for children who otherwise would have no access to education. As well as this, it allows mothers to earn wages in the rice fields without fear of their little ones harming themselves while they are at work. A small sewing initiative there also provides self-employment opportunities for a group of women. It’s so exciting to see the impact our ordinary heroes are having in the lives of children and families!
